Life at CIMBA

May 26

Now that I have almost completed my second week at CIMBA I really feel like I have fully adjusted to campus life. The campus is small and it is nice walking next door to class every morning. Every night the computer lab is full of students planning their weekend trips. Personally, I enjoy the food but some people are getting tired of it. In town there is a convenient store, a small market with sandwiches, and a hotel cafe. The prices are reasonable and many students opt to eat locally instead of in the cafeteria.

On Monday, CIMBA took those who wanted to go on a bus up to the top of the local mountain, Mt. Grappa. It is a WWII memorial with a beautiful view of Paderno and the surrounding towns. It was a little foggy, but the group of CIMBA students had fun with jumping pictures.

I know it might sound crazy…but I really love summer school! I am in a law class and my professor is an energetic New Yorker from the University of Georgia. My other professor is from the University of Delaware and was a CIMBA professor for the Spring semester as well. All of the professors try to tie class material to Italy. Last week my marketing class when to a local vineyard that apparently has a cellar for the Pope, President, and other important people! My entire class walked through the cellars and wine tasted on our hour long tour of the winery!

Off to Rome this weekend with a group of CIMBA students from Kansas!
